Firstly Little Sparrows is a Christian nursery that aims to care for the whole child. We believe that God is interested in each child, so we therefore have dedicated ourselves to sharing God's love with the children in our care. Our approach is informal, but we hope that the children will grow up knowing they have a loving Father in heaven.
At Little Sparrows we believe that the first years in a child's life are of the greatest importance. We also believe that one of our greatest responsibilities is to create a haven where children will feel secure, happy and confident in, what is for many, their first experience away from Mum and Dad.
Because children thrive in an atmosphere of love and peace, we work hard to create a family identity, where children each have an important part to play in caring for and in being cared for by others.
Because children of all levels of ability and age attend Little Sparrows they learn to foster caring and trusting relationships with those other than their own family. These social skills will hold them in good stead as they make the transition into the larger world of school.
We believe that each child is an individual and should be treated as such, and we always seek to treat their small achievements as big successes. As children will always learn best at their own pace we aim to build flexibility into our daily routine, thus offering space and time to explore and delight in the world around us.
At Little Sparrows we believe that small is beautiful! We choose to take less children per day than the 20 we are registered for because we want to give the best quality care possible without spreading ourselves too thinly. We choose to remain small so that different aged children can learn together and from each other. This atmosphere creates a mutual inter-dependence that children, parents and staff all value. Above all we hope to provide a environment where children will want to return time after time and share in the fun.
